TV3 Poll

by frog

The Greens’ strong summer in the polls continued this week with a rise in the latest TV3 poll from 4.8% to 7%.  Again this is only one poll rather than a trend but I think it highlights that the Greens are not looking as stale as some politically-aligned commentators were painting them before Christmas.  It also possibly suggests that an increasing number of voters are starting to see the Greens as the party that can bring something different to Parliament which challenges the two traditional parties to think and act in a more pragmatic, principled and future focused manner.  While most of the other parties are offering to be lighter or darker tints of National and/or Labour the Greens are starting to get credit for moving the political debate in a much needed new direction.
