Register

To post comments at the end of frogblog posts you need to become a registered user. This is a very simple process which requires you to submit a valid email address and reply to a confirmation email. Go to the registration form.

When you register you should choose your email notification preferences. By default all registered users are subscribed to the daily digest, so if you want to receive emails when the posts are made, or a weekly digest, or no emails at all make sure you change the the pull-down menu.

When you click the register button, a temporary password will be emailed to you. You can use this password to login. After you have logged in the first screen you are presented with is your user profile page – you can change your password there.

If you forget your password click the Lost your password? link at the bottom of the login page and enter your username and email address. A new temporary password will be emailed to you.

If you forget your username and your password there’s nothing you can do, either ask frog to find your username for you, or register again with a new username.

User profile options

Feel free to tell us any of the information in the user profile form, but the only information that is actually used in the site is your username (or nickname) and your website address or URL.

Your username is used to identify your comments by default. However if you enter a first name, last name or nickname, then you can choose what to display beside comments using the How to display name pull-down menu. You will still need to use your username to log in though.

Your email address will never be published on the site.

If you enter a Website address (URL) then this will be linked to beside your posts. If the website you choose to link to has a favicon then the favicon will be displayed beside your comments as well.

The instant messaging usernames and the user profile will not be published on the site.

Finally there is the change password feature. Enter the same password twice to change it.
