The journey to Planet Key

by frog

In the House this week in response to questions from Metiria, John Key gave us an insight into his aspirations, which centred on golf courses and holidays. National ministers have been casting aspersions on the opposition by creating straw man fantasy worlds Planet Labour and Planet Green. Sick of Ministers misrepresenting our positions Metiria struck back. John Armstrong in the Herald today summarises it well:

“John Key has been accused of lacking vision. But his mind-boggling version of nirvana is looking more akin to The Stepford Wives. Even scarier, there has not been a word so far from him on how to pay for it.”

What is disconcerting about his ambition is the massive disconnect between Key’s aspirations and the country he governs. Perhaps Key has been listening to too much Blam Blam Blam and isn’t aware of how hard it is for so many right now. Instead of dreaming about golfing holiday’s we need our Government to be creating jobs that help our people and our planet.
