I forgot to tell you about my little exchange with Hillary Clinton last Thursday evening.
I went up to her at the Parliamentary reception proudly displaying on my lapel a peace badge with a CND symbol over a map of NZ. The badge was encircled with the words “New Zealand Nuclear Free Zone”.
I introduced myself to Hillary as the Green Party foreign affairs spokesperson and commended her administration for its improved policies on nuclear disarmament. I then said she might like to have this New Zealand nuclear free badge, and pulled it off my lapel. A slightly surprised look crossed her face, and I thought I saw a touch of guilt. Anyhow she took the badge graciously and put it in her pocket.
I wanted to show just how proud us Kiwis are for being nuclear free – and to give a little encouragement for America to follow suit.

DID SHE PASS THE TEST?
Kieth; Good on you symbolic gestures are very powerfull statements. It seems to me that you have put her in a corner where she either had to accept it or reject it.
BUT SHE DIDN’T WEAR IT DID SHE?
DID SHE PASS THE TEST?

Oi!! I put a post in here, what happened to it? Locke doesn’t speak for me over the nuclear issue. I’m sure Hillary had better things to do.
