Big Bro wrote: “Upper Hutt is in New Zealand Sam, I have no idea where this place Aotearoa is though.”
Aotearoa is a name that was historically used for the North Island of New Zealand, and its surrounding offshore islands. It translates as ‘land of the long white cloud’, and many people believe it refers to the plume of smoke coming from the volcano on White Island in the Bay of Plenty.
Some people mistakenly use it to refer to the whole of New Zealand.

Never understood why right-wingers like to pretend to be ignorant.

Sam: it’s not ignorance; it’s (possibly real) moral indigestion and disbelief. I do it myself, sometimes, about other things.

People can get to the camp by biking the Hutt River Trail or taking the bus to the Trentham Memorial Park bus stop or the train to the Trentham Railway Station.
I hope not too many use cars – unless they car pool.
