		<description>Thanks for the support David. The negotiations have been going on for about eight months with no movement on the part of the institution. It is not our choice to strike at this time of year. Students are generally pretty supportive too.

It is more than just erosion of discretionary leave - there is also a requirement to add another 40 or so teaching hours to our already considerable load. Most of us actually work for more hours than our contract stipulates, so this is effectively taking away some of our  leave.</description>
