In Mid June Catherine Delahunty’s Sustainable Forestry Bill was picked from the ballot. Shortly after the Bill was drawn Catherine met up with someone just as keen as she is to make forestry sustainable. Dave, an Orangutan from the jungles of Sumatra whose forest home is under threat. Here’s a slightly silly video take on a very serious issue.

‘slightly silly’..you say..frog..?
..ah well..we agree on the designation..
..it’s the degree of designation on which we differ..
..now..i know ‘surreal’ is a much overused word these days..
..but.. this is comedy-gold..(and is screaming to be you-tubed..
..’green mp ‘really talks’ to person in orangutan suit’..)
..and it is the little touches that tip it over into that ‘gold status..
..the heartfelt eye look/contact…with what is essentially..
..a pretend orangutan head..
..the mp’s hand on the shoulder..
..and of course..the hug/dance finale…
..how could it end any other way..?
this is the ‘morris-dancing’ of political interviews..
..brilliant..!
