The Green´s rangitoto girl billboard has won an award as best outdoor advertisement of the week on BestAdsonTv.com.
This week’s guest judge was Alan Russell, Chief Creative Officer, DDB Canada, Vancouver, who said:
First Choice goes to Green Party. It’s so damn simple I ask myself, as with all the best work, why didn’t someone think of that before? Few words, striking photography, emotional appeal, clever, yep it’s got my vote.

Kudos to photographer Alistair Guthrie and the creative team at Special in Auckland.

I hope you cleared this with Mr Guthrie before naming him as the Photographer.
For many businesses being associated with one political party can have horrendous consequences.

Lol – do you think we used someone else’s work in our national campaign without consulting them?

Mr Guthrie’s business is likely to soar following the huge success of the billboard campaign, the praise that it has attracted and now this award! Brilliant work – great timing – good choices all round.

No I do not think you would do that, my question to you was more along the line of “is he happy to be known as the man who took the pics”?
My question is not asked as a way of starting a flame war more that there are many companies who do not want to have their political affiliations known lest they suffer mindless vandalism or alienate a large percentage of their customer base who do not support that particular party.
I would not have a problem using this chap as I still have some Green tendencies left in me but I would NEVER use any business or company who is associated with the Labour party.

Hey big Bro, thanks for the query. Luckily you’ll find that TVNZ already outed Alastair Guthrie here:

Not even if the invisible hand of market told you to?
BP and Optimist would be disgusted by your attitude.
