If you are in Wellington or nearby, consider coming down to the Opera House tonight and joining the Greens for a concert fundraiser.
Join the Phoenix Foundation, Little Bushman, Cassette, Thomas Oliver Band, Silenzio & The Swift, Matt Pike, and Isunray for a massive concert.
I have posted all this before, but here is the official website for details. Make PhiU suffer from gig-envy and join us!

Phil U – We thought of it. it was a logistical challenge to say the least. In the end it didn’t materialise. the success of the Wellington gig was due to a fantastic bunch of volunteers and of course, the support of the fantastic bands! I’m afraid you’ll just have to be jealous. Very jealous!

why could it not happen up here..?
what ‘logistical challenge’..?
..it’s not a moon-mission..
..are you saying the auckland greens lack the nous to pull something like this together..
..or just don’t care..?
..or is this just another manifestation of the green party being a wellington-based club..?
..and a continuation of that (blind) ignoring of the largest group of voters..
..that has gone on for so long..
..and i mean..hey..!..
you’ve got support/ers to burn…eh..?

phil u – Woah there partner! This has nothing to do with moon missions or Auckland/Wellington. It has to do with great musicians donating their time and being willing, available, and in a particular city at a particular time. They gave of their time and talent to support the Greens, for which I am grateful. If they were all only available and willing to do it on the moon, we would have done the concert there. Why do we have to invent a conspiracy here?
I shall not look the gift horse in the mouth. I shall just say thank you very much musos for a great night and donating your support to the Greens. Let’s do it again sometime!

Don’t forget the Sough Island, that’s your second largest group of voters. Just wait till it stops raining, eh, or we’ll all need flippers to get there.

How I would love to have been there !
However all you Auckland Greens, I have a super alternative for you. Now don’t rush me, I only have ‘some’ tickets.
We’re holding an event next Saturday night in Mangawhai Village Hall, only one and a half hours drive north of Auckland. It will be a great fun event – a Masquerade Ball ( mask or costume obligatory), with a fantastic local band (Conundrum, http://www.conundrumband.net.) From 7.30 till late.
There will be masses of prizes, plus a ‘circus’ type + Fireball performance in the interval, nibbles provided, BYO booze + a picnic. I even have two double rooms for free to the first two couples booking, and three sofas for singles.
Call me (Geoff) on 09 431 5179 or 021 320 722. Green Party fund raiser of course. It’ll be almost as good as the gig in Wellington I promise.

That’s the spirit bigblukiwi! Putting your own gig together with local heroes. Perfect.
Kevyn – don’t lose those dyslexic fingers. Didn’t you know that some of the most creative/inventive/rich people in history are/were dyslexic? Stay the course!

Please re post your last comment with the appropriate authorisation as it is clearly soliciting support/Votes for the Green party.
Should you fail to do so I will report this to the electoral commission.
Stupid rules they may be but these are the rules that your party wanted.
