I’m off to Auckland tomorrow for the Green Party’s annual meeting at Waipapa Marae. So you probably won’t hear much from me tomorrow. But hopefully I’ll find a computer from which I can report on the three major Conference speeches over the weekend (Nandor on Friday night, Jeanette on Saturday morning and Russel on Sunday morning) as well as some more news about the other new and high ranking candidates are up to.
Transatlantic rower Rob Hamill (who also fronted some of the ‘Proud to be Green’ billboards) is also speaking on Saturday night.
There are two great guest panels. First on Sunday afternoon a food panel chaired by Green Agriculture Spokesperson, Nandor, and featuring TV star and former international chef to Madonna, Peter Chaplin, the Editor of New Zealand Gardener magazine, Lynda Hallinan, Maori organics advisor, Percy Tipene, and the Greens’ own farmer and food activist, Steffan Browning.
Then on Monday morning a panel on climate change hosted by Jeanette and featuring Cam Pitchers from Campaign for Better Public Transport, Simon Boxer from Greenpeace, Barry Coates from Oxfam, Robin Allison from Transition Towns and Adrian Croucher from Cycling Advocates Network.
If you’re a Green Party member in or around Auckland you should take some time over the long weekend to join me for some or all of these events.

It now seems that the Greens support for the EFA has paid off.
Support this govt and you can get away with breaking the rules, a vote for the Greens is a vote for Labour.

The Greens broke the EFA rules by not disclosing donations on time and guess what…..they have been let off.
So I guess that means the rules only apply to those who appose Labour, it must be great to have such powerful friends.

Of course! There couldn’t possibly be any other reason but corruption. I’m sure Helen’s tentacles extend deep into the Electoral Commission. It obvious given the terribly easy ride Labour has had with the EFA!
This is the sort of crap that makes people think you are a National plant, you know. If you have some evidence of such corruption, you should go to the police. Otherwise, please keep the stupid stuff to yourself.

The Greens are one of the strongest supporters of the anti democratic EFA, given that they should be play by the rules.
I can assure you I am not a National Plant, the National party I was once a member off was a true right wing party not like the current center left gutless lot.
By the way, will all Green members attending the conference this weekend be wearing those ridiculous hoodies?, what a waste of $35,000.
