lol, well, I don’t mind politicians being lighthearted in general and support the idea, but I can’t say it really helps the Greens’ PR given that the biggest problem is that you’re not really taken seriously by those who’d consider voting for you, and you are taken seriously by those who’d consider badmouthing you. Go figure, huh?

Sadly the reality for some people is that a politician is “not doing their job” unless they are power-dressed and making boring speeches that only the dedicated political pundits and those directly impacted listen to anyway.

Yeah, I guess you are right. You can only have important things to say, and be taken seriously, if you present your message staidly. Which is exactly the reason why the frogs had to wear suits. They would fully deserved ridicule if they wore dungarees.

Interesting contrast though; The Greens dress as frogs and deliver important, serious messages. Meanwhile Gordon Copeland dresses importantly and seriously and delivers what appears to be experimental stand up comedy.

Geez – what is it about you Greens that you like to be ridiculed?!

You guys complain about not being taken seriously, but then you do these silly stunts. It doesn’t really add up. I really don’t mind that you try not to be a serious party, but you shouldn’t then complain about voters or the media not taking you seriously.

And what’s with all the suits?! I know you want to be part of the Establishment and some of your (previously bohemian and radical) leaders and MPs now wear ties everything, but aren’t you going a bit too hard on being conservative in this way?
