John Tamihere has launched his campaign to run for Mayor of Waitakere. Unfortunately Tamihere launched his campaign on Campbell Live tonight by criticising the Eco-City concept as a restriction on development. He also joined in the usual mindless attack on the Resource Management Act and restrictions on development. I wonder where he stands on allowing more development of the Waitakere Ranges. Campbell suggested that maybe he was in the wrong party when he was in parliament, and he agreed. The reality is John that if we stuff the environment there will be no economy.

Go John!
I would vote for the man simply because he wants to let property owners develop their own land, also any man that has a crack at the ridiculous RMA act is spot on in my book.

I wonder whether Mr Tamihere if elected, would still allow Waitakere City Council to go ahead with their planned aerial spraying of Roundup over the Bethells area in November?

Big bro, John Tamihere is the man who abandoned his pet cats when he moved house back in 2005. When they were found 11 days later they were in such poor health they had to be put down.
I know from some of your other postings BB, that animal welfare is one thing you do agree with the Greens on.
So, has Tamihere still got your support?

Bloody good job I do not live in the West of Auckland then….not sure if I could vote for a man like that given his treatment of animals.
I do like his stance on property rights but my love of animals overrides that…….BUGGER!
