Individually it may cost us more in the beginning, but if we can push through that initial pain, it won't take long to wholly adopt new technologies.

Energy is Abundant
Unfortunately so is ignorance.....

Technology can and will allow the harnessing of this abundant Energetic Entropy flow all around us, distributed to all, so intelligence can apply the flow and technology to Syntropic applications to raise the living standards of all humanity.

We must all, individually, break out Mindset of living off limited OIL capital instead of on the abundant energy Income flows on earth.

Peak Oil is more than just a transport issue.

It's the fertiliser on our food and a big chunk of what our consumer goods are made of.

Alas, technology does not equal energy. Helen could possibly be a paid up member of the Baby Boomer Cornucopian Club. NZ is likely to suffer comparitively early on in the coming drama, there being at least twenty OECD nations able to out bid us for dwindling net oil export capacity. We'll 'drop out', and begin the relentless slide toward status as a serf country, to provide water and food for the hegemony.

What the M.E. fears most, is that their remaining reserves will be readministered by force, hence the drive for a nuclear repellent.

I think this is what the Middle East fears most - is that oil will eventually be subsutited by other technologies.
