Well, it’s actually called the [National] Business Review, rather than [NZ] Business Review, so at least that’s an honest indication of its editorial stance:)
It’s content no doubt appeals to the ‘Rob’s Mob’ readership equivalent of the Labour readers of Truth – and just replaces racing results with finance sector results.
Boringly, it never has a decent pin up on page 3.
Unlike Truth.
However, I have no problem with any media having a political agenda. It’s all part of a healthy democracy. It’s no more anti-Green than the DominionPost and is probably more transparently so.
Generally, I think the NBR has better quality political journalism than the DomPost anyday.

It’s not surprising, given that the NBR would much rather have the Federated Farmers react in an adverse manner.

It pains the NBR to give the Greens any credit/praise. It’s like drawing water from a rock.

I am actually surprised that Pedersen has responded so positively to Sue, and wonder whethr Sue must be doing something wrong. This si the same person who denounced any change to current farming systems that will improve animal welfare, on the outdated behaviourist grounds that animals are quite happy in intensive farming systems. Pedersen is a member of NAWAC, the supposedly independent expert body (actually stacked with industry representatives who are not experts), who recommended that hens and pigs stay indefinately in cramped cages.
