Zimbabwe: it just ain’t cricket

I was surprised to read the Green Frog’s reaction to the following editorial in a Zimbabwe newspaper…

Actually, as the editorial makes it clear that we (or at least our “leadership”) are opposed to the political situation in Zimbabwe, I’m not so sure that this is a bad thing.

Presumably the reason to oppose the Black Caps tour is that it might give the false impression that New Zealand thinks Mugabe legitimate. But the quoted editorial makes clear that this is not the case at all. So the problem has been avoided after all — in no small part due to the excellent work done by the Greens to publicize this issue, and make our position clear. Good work!
