A frogblog reader has asked me whether I have any comment to make on this “frog blender” animation. Basically, it allows you to watch one of my kind get spun around in water at various speeds. At speed one, the poor, lone froggie dies a slow death, agonised by the anticipation of being carved up by the swirling blades below. The animation doesn’t show this, but I can tell you that a frog slowly spun like this will eventually faint, and fall on to the blades below, having been in terror for the last minutes of his life. At speed ten, he’s mashed up almost instantly. My only comment is this: if you’re a sadist, and you must kill a frog, do it quickly
